Vervology Regional Data Platform
A small, polite event-data aggregator for upstate New York (315 region). Built to be identifiable, rate-limited, and opt-out-friendly.
What is this bot?
If you arrived here from our User-Agent string — VRDP-Aggregator/0.1 (+https://vervology.events; events aggregator for the 315 region) — you're looking at the platform that scraped your public events feed.
VRDP runs once every 15 minutes during paid hours, respects robots.txt, honors Retry-After headers on 429 responses, and backs off after repeated 403s. We make at most a few requests per source per day.
How we behave
robots.txt respected. Disallowed paths are not fetched. Full stop.
Exponential back-off. 403/429 responses trigger 1h → 4h → 24h → dormant.
No scraping of social platforms. Facebook events are explicitly out of scope.
No personal data. We only ingest public event listings (title, date, location, link).

Prefer we don't scrape your feed? Email jono@vervology.com. We'll add your domain to a do-not-fetch list within the next scrape window (usually under 30 minutes) and confirm in reply.
